North Carolina's animal welfare policies and plans to expand Charlotte's aging shelter both in the spotlight tonight as legislators visited shelter officials today this morning C MP D animal care and control welcomed State Senator Deandrea Salvador, Representative Terry Brown, and Senator Tom Tillis is regional representative. The group toured the shelter to learn about the need for expansion there and what legislative changes could help the work animal shelters do for the community. And I think that's something that's very critical um because it's such a needed service in our community. Um but it's a service we don't think about. Um And that's probably a testament to the folks who work here because um they're keeping our community safe and making sure that we're not having to think about the things they do on a daily basis.
