I was in my final year of college, when I made a choice that changed my life.College was great. Classes were boring, but life there was wonderful. I was in no rush to leave it.But the time comes to graduate, to move on and choose a career path.By our fourth year of college, we’re supposed to have some idea of what we want to do with our lives.I didn’t have a clue.Some people told me I’d make a good teacher, which sounded like decent advice. Except that whenever I talked to people going to teacher’s college I felt myself recoiling from the idea.I envied those people who had known since they were 10 years old that they wanted to be doctors, or police officers, or architects.It sounded so nice to just have that area covered. One less thing to worry about.They’d already been stacking up summer internships that would help them land a job. They were meeting with professors and doing extracurriculars to beef up their resumes.It was like they’d been born with some ‘career gene’ that I just didn’t get.The future for them was just another step on a very sturdy staircase. They knew what direction they were going, and all they had to do was keep walking to get there.So where the hell was my staircase?What I had was more like a pile of wood in a lumber yard, with a set of instructions written in a language I was too lazy to learn.I was still wandering around with no clue about the future or how I’d ever get there.Then one day I found it.A student walked into one of our seminars carrying a folded up newspaper.I read the title as he set it on the table beside me. Our college newspaper.“You actually read this?” I asked him, looking at this dude like he had too much time on his hands.“No, but I write for them.”A pang of jealousy tore through my stomach.One thing I did know about myself from a very early age was that I liked to write.Books, poems, magazine articles. Anything.So as I looked at his article on page 5 about a sold out concert downtown, I had to wonder why the hell I didn’t write for the newspaper.And then I remembered that actually, I already knew why.I was too scared.I knew about the paper. I knew they took volunteer articles. I’d even gone so far as to attend a meeting once, in my first semester at school.But I never wrote.I wasn’t ‘ready.’ And for the next four years, I never thought about it again.Too distracted by girls, clubs, and puffs of smoke.But now I felt acutely that I had been missing out on something. The feeling got stronger as I read his article, convinced that I could write a better one, until I turned to him and asked, “When’s the next meeting?”“Today,” he said, opening his text book as the professor walked in.It was too sudden.I didn’t have time to prepare.Naturally I couldn’t make it on such short notice, when I had important plans to … go home and sit on my couch with my roommates, smoke joints and watch hilariously pointless TV shows.Okay, so I had nothing, and I knew it. I told my fears and couch plans to step aside and I followed that writer to the meeting.I was nervous as hell, but I forced myself to take an assignment.I started off easy. That day I volunteered to write the news briefs.They published them the following week with only minor edits. I was flabbergasted. MY WORDS, in a REAL NEWSPAPER.After that I was hooked. Writing for the newspaper became more important than my school assignments, more important than those clubs, more important than those TV shows with my roommates.I went back every week to get my fix, until I was one of their biggest contributors.At the end of the year a bunch of paid positions opened up. I applied for the Arts & Culture Editor job and got it, because I’d been writing two articles a week and getting better every time.I did that job for a year. To this day it was the best job I’ve ever had. All I did was talk to artists, go to concerts, and write stories for the paper.One day I hope to find a job I like even more than that one.I’m a journalist. I’m a magazine writer. I’m an author.If I never went to that meeting, I’d probably be something else, and there’d be an empty space inside me wondering what went wrong.They say journalism is dying, but I say it’s just changing.Are there fewer jobs? Sure. But for those born to write, the struggle is worth it. Often times they delete the site you met them on right after they asked you to move to a more private messaging siteProfesses love to you very quickly & seems to quote poems and song lyrics along with using their own sort of broken language, as they profess their love and devotion quickly. They also showed concern for your health and love for your family.Promises marriage as soon as he/she gets to state for leave that they asked you to pay for.They Requests money (wire transfers) and Amazon, iTune ,Verizon, etc gift cards, for medicine, religious practices, and leaves to come home, internet access, complete job assignments, help sick friend, get him out of trouble, or anything that sounds fishy.The military does provide all the soldier needs including food medical Care and transportation for leave. Trust me, I lived it, you are probably being scammed. I am just trying to show you examples that you are most likely being connned.Below is an email response I received after I sent an inquiry to the US government when I discovered I was scammed. I was selected for a summer internship 2016.I tried to be very open while filling the preference form: I choose many products as my favorite products and I said I'm open about the team I want to join.I even was very open in the  location and start date to get host matching interviews (I negotiated the start date in the interview until both me and my host were happy.) You could ask your recruiter to review your form (there are very cool and could help you a lot since they have a bigger experience).Do a search on the potential team.Before the interviews,  try to find smart question that you are going to ask for the potential host (do a search on the team  to find nice and deep questions to impress your host). Prepare well your resume.You are very likely not going to get algorithm/data structure questions like in the first round. It's going to be just some friendly chat if you are lucky. If your potential team is working on something like machine learning, expect that  they are going to ask you questions about machine learning, courses related to machine learning you have and relevant experience (projects, internship). Of course you have to study that before the interview. Take as long time as you need if you feel rusty. It takes some time to get ready for the host matching (it's less than the technical interview)  but it's worth it of course.

I would ask the high school you are applying to for guidelines. They should be able to specify who is qualified to write the letter.If you are indeed allowed to ask your 7th grade teacher, ask them if they can write you a strong, positive letter recommending your admission into the school.
