If you have an active court  case and have recently moved, make sure to update your  address on file with the court. If the court does not have  your most current address, you will miss important court notices, including dates and instructions  for upcoming hearings. You could also miss receiving important papers filed by the other side in your case, which may lead to you losing certain rights. To update your address with the court, please use the official court form called a Notice of Change of Address  Form #MC-040 – which can  be found on our website at sdcourt.ca.gov/forms or can be picked up from any  of the local courthouses.
