Has anyone noticed how narcissists are infiltrating the information that is being put out there to warn others about them and studying this information to fine tune their character so that they will be even more smarter at their games?Don’t worry, they will not be smarter in their games. They come to these circles because they also feel like they have been victims to narcissistic abuse - after all, don’t they feel like the biggest victims in all :)Narcissists can do what they do because their victims think narcissists are clever. Narcissists are not clever. But their victims are desperate people, hence unwilling or unable to walk away from abusive people. And since they feel like they have no other options, they keep letting abusive people get away with their abusive behaviour. So, let them come to these pages, it won’t help them. And many of those pages won’t help their victims either unless the victim learns how to take responsibility over their own life and figure out how to expand their own options - so they are not stuck with a narcissistic partner or an abusive boss.Yes, a narcissistic partner or an abusive boss will know to discourage you from seeking help or engaging in self-help, saying things like “this is for dumb people”, or “other people will treat you even worse” and whatnot - but they do not learn these “tricks” from those sites. They learn these tricks when they intuitively apply them on their partners or employees - and they keep using it because for some reason it keeps working out for them.Reason being that their victims are their victims because they are desparate people and believe better options do not exist for them.A difficult thing, indeed.
How is it that anyone who has not posted any questions or answers on Quora can have more than 100 followers? In addition to the situation Judah Teo posits—user is already popular on Facebook—some people will follow others back just because. So, if you follow several thousand people, it’s quite likely that 100 of them would return the “follow” without thinking twice.I’m not one of those people; I do always look over new followers’ profiles (at least when Quora bothers to notify me of them) and may upvote a few answers, but I only follow people back if they have written lots of answers that interest me or less often if they are new users who otherwise seem like interesting people. (I have nothing against answers on coding, IIT, business development, or some of the other things some of my unfollowed followers write about, and my not following doesn’t mean I think they’re not good writers, but it’s just topics that have little relevance to me.)You can also, as John English notes, interact with people by posts, or of course comments, and making friends or otherwise appearing interesting by that medium might get you some followers, even without answers.Last, following someone will also put in your feed other content that person thought was good; it’s not uncommon to see “So-and-so upvoted this” as the reason a feed story appear. You can see what someone has recently upvoted by checking their “All Activity” section on their profile. It’s even possible that you could collect a few followers by following interesting stuff yourself.

Can an undercover cop do drugs if need be?JUST LIKE FAMILY!Absolutely not. I worked Narcotics for six years and built cases using local, County, State and Federal resources and none would allow an undercover officer to use drugs. There is one exception and that is if the officers' life is in jeopardy. Under that circumstance, the officer is allowed to do what they must to survive. Taking drugs just to prevent an undercover from being made as a cop was never authorized.Working narcotics, you had to be able to think quickly on your feet. I would prepare for the possibility of a dealer wanting me to do drugs. I would usually only purchase dealer weight, and pass myself off as a drug dealer who was only in it for the money.I would say “ I move a lot of product but I don’t get high, I’m all business”. They would either sell to me or they wouldn’t. While I was secretly hoping to make the buy, I would act as if I couldn't care less if I made the deal or not. That was key, never push or act like you care a lot about the deal. Only cops are anxious. If they asked too many questions or wanted me to prove I wasn’t a cop, I’d ask why they would bring up cops, and ask if they were setting me up. I never forced a deal or even came close to doing drugs to make a case. The closest I came was one case I worked for about four months. I would make buys a couple of times a week and would go over to their home and sit and play Nintendo until the product arrived.Sometimes I’d drop by and bring beer and play Nintendo when I wasn’t there to make a buy. Just to hang out and get in good with the crew. During these times the other people would smoke weed or do a line of cocaine, but they knew I was just in it for the money. When we took the crew down they couldn’t believe I was a cop, they said: “I was like family.”
I noticed that many people use the word “empath” to describe a NPD Victim. How come people do not understand an “empath” person is a rare quality and not the same as “empathetic”?Thank you! Yes, I agree. I’m not even sure I believe the term empath, especially since there are a lot of people who identify with it, as well as the true definition of an empath is along the same terms as a psychic. Regardless if a person believes in psychic ability or not, I believe the rate of narcissistic tendencies, if not full blown npd, is climbing in our culture exponentially. Therefore on the spectrum and within the realm of self realization, we needed a word that describes the opposite. The term empath took that role because people read about how empaths are empathetic, they wear out when they are in public easily and they can read a room or a person very well. These descriptions are so generalized and can account for many, many people’s prospective of them, the population is running with it. Empathy is a learned skill. Some people are naturally more inclined to it. Being worn out can be because you’re an introvert. So many things can account for the generalization of the term empath.A relationship with a narcissist or a person who has narcissistic tendencies can be described by many dynamics in psychology. Narcissist and codependent or a push-pull dynamic are common. But people are gravitating towards narc-empath. Could it be because labeling yourself an empath makes you the “good guy” in the situation? The more loving, caring victim? Possibly. You just took an absolutely soul beating from someone, you need a pick-me-up and in your searching for answers you stumbled upon something that fits and works. The problem is people stop looking and researching when they found something that does.Relationships with narcissists or people with narcissistic tendencies/traits are not healthy relationships. Even if you are not a codependent person, you may have been fooled. No one is an excellent judge of character in this world. You cannot tell who the person is in front of you until you’ve spent a substantial amount of time with them to see how they behave in different scenarios. We are an ever-behaviorally-evolving species, so when you think you know someone, they throw a curve ball. It’s absolutely imperative that while dating or in our everyday relationships we take it upon ourselves to play detective and ask a ton of questions to those who are going to be allowed into our closest circles. That way you have a basis to go off of with how this person sees themselves and how that image lines up with how they actually are. GOOD judgement is important. Authenticity is so so important. Because you are authentic, because you have a big heart, and because you care for people, you need to protect your heart. You don’t need a word to label you. Labels are pointless. If you are identifying with the term empath, then you are claiming to have certain characteristics (CHARACTER) which is way, way more important than a label.
