it became apparent a few years ago our age demographic was going the wrong way i.e our workforce was getting somewhat older so with the aid of my line manager we pursued a replacement of staff program and we envisaged that we're going to have difficulty meeting the speciality requirements so with the aid of the local colleges we spoke to them about sending their apprentices or trainees to us thereby getting a kind of a workforce already a way of engineering principles from that we were able to develop them as a suitable uh group of staff members moving forward so we to kind of facilitate our issues with the employment of technical staff they pass through mvqs um which i am therefore in charge of and i sit all the way through to hnc level and we do assessments via local college and at this moment it seems to be working well moving forward we hope to expand a little bit more but um in the options available to us but we've at the at this moment have successfully employed six apprentices o
