price on this one 1,000 bucks for the base model and 1300 bucks for the premium version now what's the difference between the two well with the base model 4000 bucks you get the Intel Core i5 processor with integrated graphics 256 gigs worth of storage and 8 gigs of RAM now with the premium version for 1,300 bucks you get the Intel Core i7 processor with a dedicated nvidia geforce and makes 50 graphics card you get 512 gigs worth of storage and 8 gigs of ram so what does that mean in English if you buying this as a casual laptop meaning that you're just gonna take it to work browse the web watch YouTube and Netflix do basic stuff by the base model now if you're into editing videos or a heavy gaming get the premium version now I'm not gonna waste your time going through all of the specs wherever you did that live at CES if y'all want to see that I'll link that video in the description but I'll just talk about the key features the weight the weight of this laptop is 2.8 six pounds what does that mean super thin super lightweight now for the display you got a 13 inch full view touchscreen display with a 3.2 aspect ratio you heard that right touch screen display now for everybody that's getting ready to say this is a fake MacBook MacBooks don't have touchscreen displays now this is also 2k resolution that's 2160 by 1440 200 for the PPI Patrol's now for the brightness this goes all the way up to 300 nits now y'all remember the LG G 7 the nits 300 nits that's pretty bright now you get 88% screen to body ratio with four point four millimeters thin bezels now let's put that into perspective the MacBook Air has 82% screen to body ratio so this one should be pretty good now you got a one touch power button with integrated fingerprint sensor you got home there to entertainment when you plug your headphones in you got Dolby Atmos and you get fast charging now wall weight claims 15 minutes where the charge will give you two and a half hours the office use that's pretty good all right so let's check this out two things I want to mention number one shout out to war we this is a review unit but it's not a sponsored video yeah I know my model for 2019 if something is hot we're gonna say it's hot if it's trash we call it a trash number two this is not a political review now I'm well aware of everything that's going on with the US and the Chinese no mate dock this is gonna be USB type-c charging cable here's a big charging brick like I said fast charge on deck and here's your mate book so let's pop this open okay beautiful look at that wall weight logo and bet it on the top let's see on the bottom now this has the NVIDIA GeForce so this is the i7 version running Windows 10 fresh out of the box on the bottom you got dual speakers here's your fan integrated cooling system you got four rubber stoppers that's gonna keep it in place on your table let's open this up okay now if you see about a little diagram one side you got USB type-c charging you got a headphone jack and a mic and on the other side another USB type-c now here's the thing let me show you something real quick here's my old mate book alright now this is the one I use in my car when I'm doing all my tuning still works 100% fine and here's my favorite day-to-day laptop the mate book X now let me tell you shoes calm down one of the best things about Warwick make books is the power orange system once you power this on and I'm talking about from completely off to completely on ready to rock less than five seconds that's pretty dope I shoe school school let's turn this on and see if we got any juice in case seeing a little light just now alright booting up let's run through set up real quick let's see now one thing I want to mention look at the size of this trackpad giant trackpad on deck I'll sit out let's sit yes alright now let's set up the fingerprint sensor then I'll pause the video and we'll go do everything else okay voice prompts a little sign in here oh you know what let me not waste your time too much real quick look at the keyboard use your voice full-size keyboard and if you'd like me to stay quiet just select the little microphone icon towards the bottom okay calm down alright like I said full-size keyboard on this backlit keys I'll turn the lights off will test them out let's see let's go buy weight from the meat book X to the 13 yeah the 13 is a little bit lighter and let me see my old one now the old one might be the lightest one perfect size let's do the one hand test how you sit down at Starbucks let's see if we can open this with one hand okay now if you notice it does lift off off the table a little bit but you can't get it with one hand let's see on the bottom now speaking of Starbucks let me remove this not for sale sticker so I don't get locked up while I'm having my Frappuccino I'll do that in a minute I'll pause the video I'll set the fingerprint sensor then we'll breeze through the OS talk amongst yourselves alright John still be back in now I got everything all set up I've been playing around with it for a few minutes and I got to be honest with y'all if you have a had a wall weight laptop and you liked it then you're gonna love this one too this is a major upgrade and a certified win first things first let me show you the boot up speed now you see the computers on let's power it off I said we're gonna do a complete shutdown all right we'll close it up now we shut down now let's open it up we're gonna hit the power button 1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi 3 Mississippi 4 Mississippi 5 Mississippi all right from off to all the way on shoes school the people want to see from off to all the way on 5 seconds all right now let's try that again without shoes interfering I'll edit that out I shut down like I said this is one of my favorite features you talk about saving battery instead of putting your computer on sleep just turn it all the way off then when you get to work open it school now let me show you this backlit keyboard I'm gonna turn the lights off all right so I got the lights turned off let's take a look at the backlit keyboard there it is now you got two different levels of brightness that's a little bit brighter and of course you could turn it off so that's off bright max brightness now you can easily type in complete darkness all right so now let's take a look at this beautiful display and we can also test out the speaker's touchscreen panel take it over to YouTube with something by the support cloth let's get some back again with another video maximum viewing angles testing out the new sony a6000 let's skip a little bit let's make sure this is on max volume right that's max volume that display is amazing let's skip a little bit more la this beautiful city gets to talk speak a sound nice and loud now the side note you do got Dolby Atmos but I can't test that out for the video cuz you gotta use your headphones I already tried it it does sound pretty good that display is amazing alright touch screen on deck let's exit out of this now let's arm let's open up Netflix now this is one of the things I love about touch screens because I hate using the trackpad but you can see it for yourself the trackpad is very responsive let's see what was I watching last I'll stick it over the hard Tom now this one's gonna look like when you got work watching Netflix in the bathroom institution a place of tough choices mistakes minimum bezels on this destroy some multitasking I said will exit out of that let's take it over to let's go back to YouTube is a system bent on making inmates better okay so we open up YouTube you might already be worse and let's see we got some Chris Hansen so we could pause the volume on this it's a multitasking no problems on deck I can even minimize this just pause this alright you get the idea now let me show you some gaming real quick y'all want to see the keys now this is my actual typing speed nice and clicks on these good key travel whatever that means nice nice and smooth though alright let me show you some gaming real quick let's see I just downloaded something what was that I asked volt let's play some asphalt now look I am NOT heavy into computer gaming but um I will try my best here we go ISO let's hit play you try new ok here we go I was trying to figure it out okay any day now alright here we go yeah this is what gaming on your maple 13 is gonna look like okay I'm in last place right now I'm gonna want to fix that all right down s+ down now see I'm a noob right okay whoo nitrous Dungeons & Dragons and all of that but it's got the Intel i7 the NVIDIA GeForce graphics card so you should have no problems playing all your latest nerd games anything else we need to check out all right so let me show you the different levels of brightness okay so that says dull as it gets all the way up to 300 nits now this is super bright you're gonna give great viewing angles wherever you at all right so now let's take a look at the webcam now this is one of the major differences between the MacBook X and the mate book 13 the webcam replacement if you look on your MacBook X you remember you had that little clandestine button you crush that there's your webcam now with the MacBook 13 the cameras back on the top now that's a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it it's a good thing because now you got a better video camera angle I don't know about you but when you're on the web chat the last thing you want to see is somebody's nose hairs but it's kind of a bad thing because if you're one of those people that worried about somebody accessing your video camera then you're gonna have to go back old-school put the band-aid on the top now it isn't 1 megapixels not gonna be the best in the world but it does work there it is all right now let me hurry hurry up and exit out of that because I look like a savage all right so now let's check the basic web browsing speed let's go to uh let's go to Amazon ok nice and fast very smooth let's open up another page let's try our usual test Apple calm superfast you see the trackpad very responsive and like I said nice and wide all right so overall on a scale of one to ten the mate book 13 is a major major major go I am totally feeling this laptop if you're looking for a great MacBook alternative this is it now if I had to gripe I can't complain about a couple of things so let's talk about those real quick number one color choices now I wish they would've came out with the gold you only got silver and Space Gray it is what it is number two the camera button I wish they would have bought back that camera button from the MacBook X I like having that little clandestine action number three the resolution on the webcam is trashed I one megapixel then it enough now luckily for me I don't do web chat that much but if you buying this for webcam one megapixel not the best in the world number four now this is the thing I don't like the most the ports I won't say what I had a USB HDMI and some other ports now when you buy this you get to meet dock but that's just one more thing you got to carry around and last but not least the wall way logo on the front even though it is textured and should have light up that would have been dope now let me tell you the top 10 things that I like about this laptop number one the power up speed off to completely on completely off to completely on five seconds that's incredible number two the fingerprint sensor works 100% of the time superfast super reliable number three the keyboard has good clicks to it backlit you can see it in complete darkness and that trackpad is nice and wide I like that number four the speakers now the speakers on this sound nice and loud you got dual speakers and when you plug in your headphones you get the Dolby Atmos effect and it does sound pretty good number five with this particular model you got 512 gigs worth of storage that's plenty it gigs of RAM that's enough and you got the NVIDIA GeForce graphics card now take it from me this is the same setup on the MacBook I use this to edit all of my videos when I'm on the road alright so if you make youtube videos and you're wondering can you use editing software you can use it on this computer like I said I do all my own on the road editing right from the mate book number six the fan now you got the fan on the back I this is a new coolant system the fan on this is super quiet Ida st. annoys you computer number seven no lag at all you've seen the multitasking for yourself open up a bunch of web pages no leg number eight super thin and lightweight now you can't see it in the video but you could pack this in any travel bag now I like that Ohman HP laptop but I can't take it out the house it's too big this one right here you can actually have two of these you got have to travel your work your work laptop and your travel laptop in the same bag that's pretty dope number nine the battery life the battery life on this is excellent and the quick charge feature is amazing now just now let me see let me see how much juice I got on this because just now when I had this open it was on complete zero percent I let it charge just when I made the video and it's almost out half battery percentage I so quick charge major go and number ten my favorite feature about this laptop the reason that I would buy this laptop the display 2k resolution it gets super bright 300 nits but the resolution the quality of this display your videos your movies whatever you watching they're gonna look amazing but more importantly touch screen touchscreen display now I get asked this question all the time I got a I got an iPhone and got an iPad I got an Apple watch how come I don't use MacBooks and there's two reasons why I never use Mac books number one I'm old school I prefer Windows all right if it ain't broke don't fix it I don't feel like learning Mac OS I like Windows OS but more importantly touch screen this is the main reason why I use these kind of laptops as opposed to Mac books touch screen alright now when I'm on the road and I'm staying in some little cheesy hotel and I'm in a bed watching Netflix eating some barbeque hot wings with some fries with a half a gallon ketchup on it I don't want to have to keep touching my keyboard alright let me show you what I'm talking about it's so much easier when you're watching youtube videos or whatever you watching and you want to skip if my hands is greasy I can use my knuckle and skip I don't have to touch the keyboard now even if I did touch my fingers with on the keyboard we're all kind of grease and chicken stains all over it it's much easier to clean your your display then it is to clean your keyboard you don't want to get chicken grease in between your keys then they start to get you know it's not to stick you don't want that I rather touch the display all day then I take a microfiber cleaning cloth wipe it one time and I'm good to go so that's the two reasons why I would buy this laptop Windows OS and touchscreen display anyway this the mate book 13 hit me
