Powers In furtherance of the objectives described above, but not limited to these, the Association shall have the power, to the extent such power is conferred or is not limited by law, to make and perform contracts for any lawful purpose, to engage in various funding and fund-raising activities, and to acquire, own, hold, operate, and maintain such property as to effectuate its purposes. Article Five. Membership A. The Association shall have one class of members only. All voting rights and other rights, interests, and privileges of each member shall be equal. B. The rights and privileges of members, their liability for dues and assessments, and the termination and transfer of membership shall be as stated in the Bylaws. Article Six. Governing Body A. Trustees. The government of the Association shall be vested in a board of trustees, to be known as the council of the Association, consisting of ______ (number) members elected as provided in the bylaws, together with the past presidents who are not, at the time, members of the council by election. B. Elective Officers. The elective officers of the Association shall be a president, a secretary, and a treasurer.
