Common Preparation Mistakes to Avoid

  • Listing broad terms like "audio files" without format, channel count, sample rate, or file types leads to rework and invoicing disputes.
  • Using a project manager's signature instead of an authorized signatory can render the Work Order unenforceable and delay payments or acceptance.
  • Failing to document required music licenses, sample clearances, or third‑party releases exposes both parties to infringement claims and liability.
  • Not specifying revision counts, response windows, or additional rates causes disagreements over scope and leads to unexpected billing.
