What a Bee Service Agreement Covers

A Bee Service Agreement is a written contract between a beekeeper, removal specialist, or pest-control contractor and a property owner that sets the terms for bee-related services. It typically defines the scope of work (relocation, removal, hive installation, inspections, maintenance), scheduling, compensation, access, permit responsibilities, and insurance and liability allocations. The agreement records client consents about live retrieval versus extermination, vendor licensing and safety measures, and expectations for property restoration. A clear written agreement reduces disputes and supports insurance or regulatory review.

Why a Formal Agreement Matters for Bee Work

A formal Bee Service Agreement clarifies obligations, limits liability, and documents acceptance of risks and costs; it also supports enforcement and insurance claims. For electronic signatures, follow federal ESIGN rules (15 U.S.C. ch. 96) and applicable state UETA standards.

Why a Formal Agreement Matters for Bee Work

Who Typically Completes and Signs This Agreement

Typical parties involved include residential and commercial property owners, licensed beekeepers, pest-removal contractors, and municipal or utility property managers.

  • Residential property owners managing on-site hives or responding to infestations
  • Licensed beekeepers and removal specialists providing relocation, maintenance, or extermination services
  • Municipal authorities, utility crews, or facility managers coordinating public-safety or emergency responses

Verify each signer's authority: individuals sign in their personal capacity; businesses must attach authorization or an officer's signature block to validate execution.
