What the Bookkeeping Records Attestation Form Is

The Bookkeeping Records Attestation Form is a written statement by an authorized representative attesting that a set of accounting records, ledgers, or financial schedules are complete and accurate to the best of the signer’s knowledge. Typical uses include lender inquiries, internal control spot checks, audit support, and vendor or buyer due diligence. The attestation may reference specific periods, accounting systems, source documents, and supporting exhibits; it can be executed on paper or electronically when executed under applicable e-signature laws.

Why an Attestation Adds Value to Your Records

An attestation provides a concise, signed confirmation of record completeness and accuracy, supporting trust with external stakeholders and strengthening internal audit trails.
