What the Built Ins Request for Approval Form Is

The Built Ins Request for Approval Form is a written request used by tenants, contractors, or property managers to obtain landlord or owner consent before installing built-in fixtures, appliances, or permanent alterations to a rental property or managed real estate. It captures project details, specifications, proposed contractors, timelines, and indemnity or restoration commitments, and creates a record for approval, conditional approval, or denial. When executed electronically this form can comply with the ESIGN Act (15 U.S.C. §7001) and state UETA rules, provided intent, consent, attribution, and reliable record retention are present.

Why using a standard approval form matters

A formal Built Ins Request for Approval Form centralizes project details, reduces misunderstandings, and documents permissions, conditions, and responsibilities in writing for both owners and tenants.

  • Property managers, owners, and facilities staff who assess compliance, safety, and lease obligations.
