What a Business Affinity Partner Agreement Is

A Business Affinity Partner Agreement is a written contract between two organizations that establishes a collaborative relationship to provide products, services, promotions, or benefits to a shared audience. Typical provisions define the scope of the partnership, referral and revenue-share arrangements, marketing and branding permissions, confidentiality, data handling, term and termination, liability and indemnity, and performance metrics. The agreement can govern co-marketing, bundled offers, member discounts, lead sharing, and other affinity activities. When properly executed, this contract creates enforceable rights and obligations for each party and often includes operational annexes and reporting schedules.

Why organizations use an Affinity Partner Agreement

The agreement formalizes expectations, allocates commercial and legal risk, and creates reproducible workflows for referrals, revenue sharing, and co-branded programs. It also documents data handling, privacy responsibilities, and termination mechanics to reduce disputes and enable measurable performance.
