What the Business Communication CB Letter Is

A Business Communication CB Letter is a formal written notice used by organizations to convey commercial information, requests, confirmations, or corrective statements to customers, vendors, partners, or regulators. It standardizes tone, factual content, and signature blocks so recipients can clearly identify the sender, the purpose, and any requested actions. Typical uses include contractual clarifications, remediation notices, certification of facts, or responses to inquiries. The letter can be sent as a printed document, an attached PDF, or an electronically signed record depending on statutory and recipient requirements.
