Practical Tips for Accurate and Efficient Completion

Apply consistent practices to reduce review cycles and support compliance with retention and signature laws.

Use Standardized Templates
Adopt a single validated Business Document Emery template across teams. Standardization reduces drafting errors and ensures consistent clause placement for automated field detection.
Validate Signer Identity
Choose authentication levels commensurate with risk. For higher-value contracts, use multi-factor or knowledge-based authentication to strengthen attribution evidence.
Attach Supporting Exhibits
Include schedules, pricing matrices, and technical specifications as separate exhibits referenced by name to prevent ambiguity about deliverables or payment triggers.
Keep an Audit Trail
Ensure the signing platform records IP, timestamps, and actions. The audit trail supports enforceability and internal recordkeeping obligations.
