Practical tips for accurate and efficient G99 completion

Use consistent templates, checklists, and controlled fields to reduce errors and speed execution while preserving legal clarity.

Use consistent naming conventions
Always use the full legal entity name and verify it against formation or registration documents to avoid identity disputes or reporting errors.
Lock final PDF before signing
After final review, lock the document to prevent post-signature changes; ensure the signing platform generates an audit trail for any modifications.
Record proof of authority
Attach board resolutions or power‑of‑attorney evidence for signers who execute on behalf of an entity to support enforceability.
Standardize exhibits and schedules
Number and name exhibits consistently, reference them precisely in the agreement, and attach the full text at execution to avoid omission disputes.
