Practical tips for accurate and efficient completion

Verify signer authority
Confirm that the individual signing on behalf of an entity has documented delegation (board resolution or corporate bylaw authority) to bind the organization before accepting the signature.
Keep an audit trail
Preserve an unalterable audit record showing signer identity, timestamps, and authentication methods to support enforceability under ESIGN and UETA.
Standardize retention
Define retention periods by record type and store in a centralized system to meet IRS, HIPAA, and state requirements while simplifying eDiscovery.
