What the Business FAB Kit Is

The Business FAB Kit is a standardized collection of forms, checklists, and instructions designed to capture core business facts, authorizations, and supporting exhibits in a single package. It centralizes entity identification, ownership percentages, authorized signers, taxpayer identifiers, and key contractual provisions so teams have a consistent record for filings, banking, and compliance. The kit is suitable for paper or electronic workflows, with fields organized to support signer attribution, date stamping, and audit trails for reliable downstream use by legal, accounting, and operations stakeholders.

Why organizations use the Business FAB Kit

The Business FAB Kit reduces inconsistent recordkeeping by standardizing critical entity data, signatures, and exhibits. It lowers administrative friction when preparing filings, onboarding partners, or responding to audits while preserving a clear audit trail that supports enforceability and regulatory review.

Why organizations use the Business FAB Kit

Who typically completes the Business FAB Kit

Organizations and internal teams use the kit to collect standardized entity facts, signatures, and supporting documents for corporate records.

  • Small business owners and founders assembling ownership, EIN, and initial operating details for new entities.
  • Corporate legal and compliance teams compiling authorized signers, governing documents, and jurisdictional selections.
  • Accountants and finance departments documenting taxpayer IDs, bank authorizations, and fiscal reporting contacts.

Completed kits are retained as part of the corporate record and serve as the source for filings, bank onboarding, and legal reviews.

Core components included in a professional Business FAB Kit

A complete kit groups essential records so reviewers can confirm identity, authority, and obligations without searching multiple sources.

Entity Details

Registered name, formation state, registration numbers, and principal business address collected exactly as on formation documents and IRS records to avoid mismatches.

Ownership Records

Ownership percentages, member/partner lists, equity classes, and vesting schedules, each cross-referenced to formation or capitalization documents to document control rights.

Governing Documents

Articles of organization/incorporation, bylaws or operating agreement excerpts, and any amendments referenced by exhibit to demonstrate authority and internal approval pathways.

Financial Identifiers

EIN/TIN, bank account authorizations, and payment terms documented for vendor, payroll, and tax reporting use; correct TINs prevent backup withholding.

Signatures & Authorizations

Signature blocks with signer titles, delegation evidence, and notarization or witness fields when required to validate execution authority.

Attachments & Exhibits

Supporting files such as invoices, government filings, proof of address, and signed exhibits labeled and cross-referenced to the main form to prevent ambiguity.

Follow these ordered steps to populate, verify, and finalize the Business FAB Kit for accurate recordkeeping and filing.

Prepare: Gather entity details, IDs, and supporting documents before you begin.
  • 02

Typical eSubmission sequence for the Business FAB Kit

A standard eSubmission consolidates upload, field placement, signer authentication, and completion with an audit record for each signer.

  • Upload: Upload the kit package and attach exhibits
  • Prepare Fields: Place signature, initials, date, and conditional fields
  • Authenticate: Authenticate signers via email, SMS code, or stronger methods
  • Complete: Distribute signed copies and the audit trail to parties

Delivery and platform considerations

Choose platforms and formats that support your authentication and archival needs before distributing the kit.

  • Integrations: Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft 365 and common CRMs supported
  • File formats: PDF, DOCX, HTML, and Excel formats typically accepted
  • Authentication: Email, SMS, KBA, and stronger MFA options available

Common preparation mistakes to avoid

  • Using informal or abbreviated legal names that do not match formation documents, which can prevent bank account setup and trigger corrections.
  • Entering dates in inconsistent formats, causing confusion about effective dates and potentially affecting statutory deadlines or tax reporting.
  • Omitting exhibit labels or failing to reference attachments, which increases dispute risk and slows legal or accounting review.
  • Skipping proper signer authority verification; signatures by unauthorized individuals can render agreements void or lead to internal disputes.
