What a Business Featuring Agreement Is and When It’s Used

A Business Featuring Agreement is a written contract between a business (the featured party) and a promoter, publisher, or partner that grants the promoter rights to showcase, list, or otherwise publicize the business or its goods and services. The agreement typically defines scope of exposure, duration, fees or revenue shares, intellectual property usage, performance metrics, indemnities, and termination rights. It clarifies who controls content, how customer data is handled, and whether exclusivity or geographic limits apply. Parties use this document to set expectations and reduce disputes about how a business will be presented to audiences or customers.

Why You Need a Clear, Written Business Featuring Agreement

A Business Featuring Agreement minimizes ambiguity about rights, payment, content control, data handling, and liability. It creates a predictable relationship that protects both the featured business and the promoter by specifying deliverables, review processes, and remedies for breach. For consumer-facing arrangements, the agreement also supports compliance with applicable disclosure, marketing, and privacy laws.

Why You Need a Clear, Written Business Featuring Agreement

Who Typically Drafts or Signs This Agreement

Organizations and individuals who commonly use Business Featuring Agreements fall into distinct roles depending on scale and industry.
