What the Business Fuel Usage Form Is

Business Fuel Usage Form is a standardized record used by companies to track fuel purchases and mileage for business vehicles. It documents date, vehicle identification, odometer readings, trip purpose, gallons purchased, total cost, and the person responsible for the expense. Organizations use this form for internal reimbursement, fleet management, fuel tax credits, and to substantiate business-use deductions for tax reporting. Accurate, contemporaneous entries support IRS requirements for substantiation and provide an audit trail for accounting, payroll, and expense reconciliation purposes.
