What the Business Headend Document Is and When It’s Used

The Business Headend Document is an administrative agreement or intake record used to establish primary business details, designate responsible parties, and provide routing instructions for downstream processing. It collects core identifiers (legal entity name, EIN or TIN, authorized signers, effective date, and primary contact information) and may attach exhibits such as scopes of work or payment terms. Organizations use it to standardize onboarding, vendor setup, intercompany routing, or transactional approvals and to create a single canonical record for filing, retention, and audit purposes.

Core Sections to Include in a Professional Business Headend Document
