What the Business Legit Annex Is and when it applies

The Business Legit Annex is a supplemental document used to verify a company's legal identity, authority to transact, and key corporate details when entering contracts, onboarding vendors, or responding to compliance requests. It typically gathers legal entity name, tax identifier, authorized signer data, formation and registration information, and evidence of corporate authority. The annex is intended to sit alongside primary agreements or procurement forms and create a clear, auditable record of the business’s legitimacy for counterparties, auditors, and regulators.

Why a Business Legit Annex matters for transactions

A Business Legit Annex reduces ambiguity about who may sign, which legal entity is contracting, and whether statutory steps (filing, registration, tax ID) are complete. It supports due diligence, mitigates fraud risk, and creates a concise record useful for audits and regulatory review.
