What the Business MIC Application Is and When It’s Used

The Business MIC Application is a standardized form organizations use to collect corporate identity, ownership, and operational details required by counterparties, regulators, or service providers. It consolidates business contact information, tax identification, authorized signers, and attestations about company status so reviewers can assess eligibility, perform due diligence, or set up accounts. The form may be requested by lenders, vendors, insurers, or government agencies and is typically retained with onboarding records, contracts, or compliance files to demonstrate the representations provided by the business.

Why a Complete Business MIC Application Matters

A fully and accurately completed Business MIC Application reduces delays, supports legal and regulatory checks, and documents authorized signatories. Proper completion helps avoid withholding, onboarding refusals, or contract execution problems while establishing a clear administrative record for audits and compliance.

Why a Complete Business MIC Application Matters

Who Typically Completes or Requests This Application

Different teams use the same form for overlapping purposes; ensure the correct business representative completes designated signature and attestations sections.

  • Finance and accounting teams completing tax and vendor records during onboarding.
  • Legal or compliance teams verifying ownership, authorized signers, and attestations.
  • Procurement or vendor managers collecting details to set up supplier portals.

Attestations

Supporting Documents

Attach formation documents, EIN verification, certificate of incumbency, or board resolutions as applicable.

Submission Metadata
