What the Business Process Baja Step Is and When It Applies

The Business Process Baja Step is a standardized procedural document used to record, route, and authorize a discrete activity within a larger business workflow. It captures who is responsible, the action required, required inputs, and completion criteria so downstream teams can continue processing without ambiguity. Typical uses include procurement approvals, vendor onboarding checkpoints, internal compliance reviews, and contract handoffs. The form is designed to support both paper and electronic workflows and to integrate with eSignature platforms and business systems for secure routing and auditability.

Why the Business Process Baja Step Matters
