What the Business Proposal P1-H2 Is

The Business Proposal P1-H2 is a standardized commercial proposal template used to present scope, deliverables, pricing, timelines, assumptions, and contractual terms to prospective clients. It combines an executive summary, detailed scope of work, price schedules, project milestones, exclusions, and a signature block into a single document intended for negotiation and approval. Organizations adopt a consistent P1-H2 format to reduce drafting variance, speed internal review cycles, and ensure that negotiated items are captured before a binding contract is formed under applicable electronic signature laws.

Why a Standard Proposal Format Matters

A consistent Business Proposal P1-H2 reduces ambiguity, shortens review timelines, and preserves a clear record of negotiated commercial terms for future reference and contract formation.

Why a Standard Proposal Format Matters

Typical Teams and Roles That Use the P1-H2

The Business Proposal P1-H2 is used by cross-functional teams to prepare and approve client-facing offers consistently.

  • Sales teams preparing client quotations and structured project proposals for negotiation and signing.
  • Project managers documenting deliverables, milestones, resource assumptions, and acceptance criteria for stakeholders.
  • Finance or legal reviewers verifying pricing, payment terms, indemnities, and termination clauses prior to execution.

Standardizing use across sales, delivery, finance, and legal helps reduce rework and creates an auditable approval history.

Who Signs and Approves This Document

Chief Commercial Officer

Typically authorized to approve pricing, service levels, and commercial exceptions. Signs when proposals exceed delegated authorities and when board-level approvals are needed; combines commercial judgment with risk acceptance on behalf of the company.

Procurement / Client Signatory

The client-side authorized signatory or procurement director binds the buyer. Verify signatory authority on company letterhead or resolution, particularly for large-value deals or public entities where additional approvals may be required.

Core Sections of a Professional P1-H2 Proposal

A clear P1-H2 groups essential commercial information so reviewers can find scope, cost, and obligations quickly; structure improves consistency and reduces negotiation friction.

How Electronic Completion Typically Works

A standard online signing flow collects intent, authenticates signers, records the signing event, and delivers a tamper-evident copy with audit details.

  • Upload Document: Import the P1-H2 template as PDF or DOCX.
  • Add Fields: Place signature, date, and initial fields where needed.
  • Invite Signers: Send secure links or email invites to signer addresses.
  • Complete Signing: Signers authenticate, sign, and receive the final package.

Technical and Platform Considerations for eSubmission

Ensure the platform supports required authentication, document formats, and integrations before sending the P1-H2 for signature.

  • File Formats: PDF, DOCX and flattened signed PDF support.
  • Integrations: Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace integrations.
  • Auth Options: Email, SMS code, KBA, or SSO where required.

Typical Timing and Deadlines to Track

Set internal target dates for proposal delivery, review, signature, and contract start to avoid missed opportunities and to align billing and resourcing.

Proposal Submission Deadline:

Client-specified submission date; often 7–30 days from RFP issue.

Internal Review Window:

Allow 2–5 business days for finance and legal review.

Signature Window:

Typical validity period is 30–90 days or as specified in the proposal.
