What the Business Relevant Person Document Is

A Business Relevant Person Document records identifying and contact details, roles, and attestations for an individual or entity designated as a relevant person for a business purpose, such as beneficial-owner disclosure, authorized representative, or compliance contact. It establishes who may act on behalf of the business, documents authorities and limits, and creates a record used for KYC, AML, vendor onboarding, or internal governance. The form is typically retained with corporate records and may be submitted to banks, service providers, or regulators depending on the use case.

Why this document matters for business records and compliance

The Business Relevant Person Document creates an auditable record of who can bind or represent the organization, reduces onboarding friction for banking and vendor relationships, and supports regulatory due diligence obligations under KYC/AML frameworks and contractual requirements.
