A Business Request for Increase is a formal written request used by an organization or individual to ask a counterparty, lender, vendor, or internal approver to raise a preexisting limit, allocation, or authorized amount—examples include credit line increases, budget adjustments, contract value amendments, or purchase order ceiling raises. The document states the current limit, requested new limit, justification, supporting facts, and any proposed revised terms so recipients can evaluate credit risk, budget impact, or contractual obligations before approving or denying the request.
