What the Business Services Agreement for Jack Rabbit Is

The Business Services Agreement for Jack Rabbit is a contract that defines the relationship, deliverables, payment terms, timelines, and legal responsibilities between Jack Rabbit and an external service provider. It sets the scope of services, acceptance criteria, change-order process, confidentiality obligations, intellectual property ownership, indemnities, and termination rights. The agreement creates enforceable obligations when executed by authorized signatories and preserved as a retrievable record. For electronic execution, the agreement must meet ESIGN and applicable state UETA or ESRA requirements to ensure enforceability across jurisdictions.

Why Use a Formal Business Services Agreement

A clear written agreement reduces ambiguity about scope, schedule, cost, and risk allocation, supports regulatory compliance, and documents remedies and performance metrics in case of a dispute.

Why Use a Formal Business Services Agreement

Which teams typically prepare or sign this agreement

  • Procurement managers and contract administrators who standardize terms and track vendor performance.
  • Vendor project leads and account managers who confirm deliverables, schedules, and resource commitments.
  • In-house legal counsel and finance teams who review risk, IP assignment, and payment provisions.

Assign responsibility up front — procurement or legal usually manages templates, while business owners verify scope and finance confirms payment terms.
