What the Business Services Agreement Halliburton Is and When It Applies

The Business Services Agreement Halliburton is a contractual template used to formalize recurring or project-based services between a service provider and Halliburton or its affiliates. It defines scope of work, deliverables, fees, timelines, intellectual property ownership, confidentiality, indemnification, insurance, and termination rights. Organizations use it to align expectations, allocate risk, and enable vendor onboarding, procurement, and payment processes. Proper execution ensures clarity on performance standards, invoice timing, and dispute resolution, and it becomes enforceable once signed by authorized representatives of both parties.

Why a Clear Business Services Agreement Matters

A well‑crafted agreement reduces ambiguity, limits litigation risk, assigns responsibilities, and documents payment and IP terms so both parties understand obligations and remedies under U.S. law.

Why a Clear Business Services Agreement Matters

Who Typically Prepares and Signs This Agreement

Common users include procurement teams, contract managers, external vendors, and legal counsel involved in vendor onboarding and service delivery.

  • Procurement and Vendor Management — negotiate pricing, service levels, and manage renewals.
  • Legal and Compliance Teams — review indemnity, confidentiality, and regulatory clauses.
  • Operational Managers and Service Leads — confirm deliverables, milestones, and acceptance criteria.

Each listed role contributes different inputs—scope and pricing from operations, compliance and insurance from legal, and signature authority from procurement or executive leadership.

Typical Signatories and Their Roles

Contract Manager — Halliburton

A Halliburton contract manager reviews scope, approves service-level commitments, and ensures certificate of insurance and vendor qualifications are current. They coordinate internal approvals and confirm funding and invoice routing before execution by an authorized signing officer.

Vendor Representative — Service Provider

The vendor signatory certifies authority to bind the company, confirms capacity to deliver services described, accepts payment terms, and provides contact details for performance notices and escalation. This person coordinates onboarding steps with Halliburton teams.

Essential Clauses to Include in Your Agreement

  • Failure to include data privacy and HIPAA safeguards when services involve protected health information, creating regulatory and contractual risk.
