What the Business Services AR SNAP is and when it is used

The Business Services AR SNAP is a standardized accounts-receivable authorization and remittance document used by service providers and their customers to record billing terms, payment remittance instructions, authorization to collect payments, and reporting obligations. It combines contract language, payer identification, invoice routing, and signature blocks so accounting teams can onboard a client quickly and maintain a clear audit trail. The form is commonly used to authorize electronic payments, specify remittance addresses or lockbox details, and record required tax and payer identification information for reporting and compliance.

Why this AR SNAP matters for accounts and compliance

A clear AR SNAP reduces payment delays and disputes by documenting remittance instructions, authorized signers, and communication channels. It creates a consistent record for auditors, supports backup withholding triggers, and helps meet tax and retention requirements when maintained as a reproducible electronic record.
