Practical tips to reduce disputes and speed execution

Practical steps that reduce execution risk and improve clarity when using the Business Services Falcon Edge.

Use clear milestone definitions
Define deliverables by measurable criteria, acceptance tests, and delivery date windows. Avoid ambiguous terms like 'as soon as possible.' Attach a timeline exhibit to align project management and billing triggers, reducing payment disputes and scope creep.
Specify billing and payment mechanics
Detail invoicing intervals, required invoice contents, payment methods, and late fee calculations. Specify remedies for disputed invoices and a short dispute resolution timeline. Clear billing rules prevent revenue recognition delays and reduce administrative back-and-forth.
Limit ambiguous legal language
Use plain-language clauses for indemnity, limitation of liability, and intellectual property ownership. Avoid undefined legal terms and reference statutes or standards only when necessary; clear language speeds legal review and minimizes negotiation time.
Confirm signer authority and identity
Require signers to confirm role and authority, attach corporate resolution or POA when signing on behalf of an entity, and consider SMS or ID verification for higher-risk transactions to strengthen enforceability.
