What the Business Services ISfTE Is and when it’s used

The Business Services ISfTE is a standardized internal service request and transfer of execution form used by organizations to document business service engagements, approvals, scope, and responsibilities. It records parties, effective dates, deliverables, pricing or consideration, billing instructions, and signature blocks to authorize work. The form supports audit trails and can be completed on paper or electronically; when executed correctly it creates a clear record for accounting, procurement, and legal review and reduces ambiguity about who approved specific services.

Why a clear ISfTE improves operational control

[INTRO] A well‑prepared Business Services ISfTE centralizes contract terms, signatory authority, and acceptance criteria so teams can track obligations and minimize disputes.

Why a clear ISfTE improves operational control

Who typically completes or signs a Business Services ISfTE

Different roles handle the ISfTE at various stages — creation, approval, execution, and archiving. Below are the common participants and their responsibilities.

  • Project or Program Manager — prepares scope, describes deliverables, and attaches supporting documents for review and approval.
  • Procurement or Finance Representative — confirms budget, enters payment terms, and validates cost center or GL coding for invoicing.
  • Authorized Signer (Officer or Designee) — executes the ISfTE in accordance with delegated authority limits and corporate signing policies.

Assigning these roles and documenting authority up front reduces processing delays and ensures the signature represents binding approval.

Typical signatory profiles and what they do
