What the Business Services PBSF-GAF Document Is

The Business Services PBSF-GAF Document is a standardized professional-services form used to record the scope, pricing, responsibilities, and approval workflow for a business services engagement. It typically combines scope-of-work language, payment and billing terms, compliance attestations, deliverable milestones, and signature blocks so organizations and vendors have a single record of agreed obligations and acceptance criteria.

Why this document matters for operations and compliance

Using a well-structured PBSF-GAF Document improves clarity about deliverables and payments, creates an auditable record for internal controls, and reduces disputes by recording approvals and change processes in writing.

Why this document matters for operations and compliance

Who typically completes or reviews this document

The PBSF-GAF Document is used across procurement, finance, legal, and vendor teams whenever formal services are contracted or amended.

  • Procurement and contracts teams who manage vendor selection and terms.
  • Finance and accounts payable teams responsible for budget approval and invoice reconciliation.
  • External vendors, consultants, and project managers who accept scope and deliverable terms.

Multiple internal stakeholders should review the final draft to ensure legal, budgeting, and operational requirements are all addressed before signing.

  • Missing or mismatched signatory authority—unsigned or improperly authorized signatures may render the document unenforceable.
  • Inconsistent dates across exhibits and signature blocks can create ambiguity about the effective date and payment milestones.
