What the Business Services SAG Is and when it applies

The Business Services SAG is a standardized services agreement used to document the scope, deliverables, payment terms, and responsibilities for business-to-business services. It sets expectations for performance, timelines, change control, confidentiality, and termination while allocating risk between the parties. The SAG is typically used for ongoing operational services, project-based engagements, and recurring professional services where a consistent template speeds negotiation and reduces drafting errors. When executed correctly it creates an enforceable contractual relationship governed by the chosen law and the parties' stated obligations.

Why a clear Business Services SAG matters

A well-drafted Business Services SAG clarifies deliverables, reduces disputes, and sets payment and termination triggers that protect both parties. Clear allocation of responsibilities and measurable acceptance criteria lowers operational friction and supports enforceability if performance issues arise.
