Best practices for accurate and efficient completion

Adopt these practical practices to reduce errors, accelerate approval cycles, and maintain legally defensible records.

Use precise, measurable scope language
Define deliverables, acceptance criteria, and milestones in measurable terms to reduce disputes and avoid open-ended obligations that increase administrative burden and litigation risk.
Confirm signer authority before execution
Verify that the person signing on behalf of an entity has documented authority or a corporate resolution; mismatched signer authority can render the agreement unenforceable.
Standardize payment and invoicing terms
Clearly state amounts, invoicing cadence, accepted payment methods, and late fees to prevent collections issues and ambiguity about payment obligations.
Preserve an audit trail for all electronic signatures
Capture timestamps, IP addresses, authentication method, and signer intent so the signed record meets ESIGN/UETA requirements and supports admissibility.
