What the Business UFOC Template Is

The Business Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (Business UFOC) Template is a standardized disclosure document used by franchisors to present material information to prospective franchisees. It organizes legal disclosures, franchise history, litigation and bankruptcy statements, fees and initial investment estimates, territory descriptions, financial performance representations, and sample agreements in a single, consistent format. The template helps franchisors meet disclosure obligations and provides prospective buyers a comparable basis for evaluation. Use it as the primary disclosure document where state franchise laws or the Federal Trade Commission require a written disclosure before offering or selling a franchise.

Why a Clear UFOC Template Matters

A complete Business UFOC Template promotes regulatory compliance, reduces review time, and improves transparency between franchisor and prospect.
