What the Business Use Marks Form Is and how it's used

The Business Use Marks Form documents how a company identifies, authorizes, and records use of trademarks, service marks, logos, or trade dress across products, services, marketing, and third-party channels. It captures mark variants, ownership details, permitted uses, visual guidelines, licensing limits, and effective dates. Organizations use the form to standardize brand application, support internal approvals, preserve evidence for licensing or enforcement, and create a single source of truth for brand governance. The form is typically prepared by legal, brand, or licensing teams and retained with corporate records.
