What the CampusCare Service Agreement Covers

The CampusCare Service Agreement is a formal contract between a campus (institution, department, or campus services provider) and a counterparty that defines the delivery of services on campus. It documents parties, scope of services, performance standards, fees and payment terms, data handling and privacy obligations, change-control procedures, term and termination rights, and remedies for nonperformance. The agreement also allocates responsibility for compliance with applicable U.S. laws (for example HIPAA or FERPA where relevant), specifies insurance and indemnity requirements, and sets requirements for recordkeeping and dispute resolution.

Why a Clear Service Agreement Matters for Campus Operations

A well-drafted CampusCare Service Agreement reduces operational risk, clarifies expectations, and supports compliance with education and healthcare privacy laws. It protects campus assets and provides an enforceable basis for remedies, billing, and service-level enforcement.

Why a Clear Service Agreement Matters for Campus Operations

Who Typically Prepares and Signs CampusCare Agreements

Multiple campus stakeholders are involved in preparing and approving these agreements depending on scope and risk.

  • Campus legal counsel and procurement teams responsible for contract review and risk allocation.
  • Campus departments (health services, housing, dining) that define operational requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • External vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers supplying goods or managed services to campus.

Final execution usually requires authorized signatories from both parties and any institutional approvals stated in campus policy.
