What the Client Deposit Information Form Is

The Client Deposit Information Form records the parties, deposit amount, payment method, and terms that govern a funds deposit tied to a contract, property transaction, service, or escrow. It documents whether the deposit is refundable, conditions for forfeiture, required identification, and any hold or escrow instructions. The form creates an auditable record used for reconciliation, dispute resolution, tax reporting, and compliance. Many organizations accept completed electronic versions when they meet ESIGN/UETA requirements and applicable consumer-disclosure obligations.

Why a Clear Deposit Form Matters

A well-designed Client Deposit Information Form reduces disputes, shows intent and consent, and preserves handling instructions. Completed forms support enforceability under ESIGN (15 U.S.C. ch. 96) and UETA when executed electronically and retained reliably.

Why a Clear Deposit Form Matters

  • Legal and escrow services documenting retainer deposits, settlement funds, or trust-held client monies.
