What the Client Onboarding ATP COS Is and when it applies

The Client Onboarding ATP COS is a standardized client intake and onboarding checklist used to capture client identity, engagement terms, compliance checks, and required supporting documents at the start of a commercial relationship. It consolidates contact and billing details, scope of work, KYC and AML prompts where applicable, signature blocks, and routing instructions to ensure a complete file before services begin. Using a single onboarding form reduces rework, creates an audit trail, and improves handoff between sales, legal, and operations teams while providing a defensible record of client consent and agreed terms.

Why a consistent Client Onboarding ATP COS matters

A uniform onboarding form reduces administrative delays, clarifies responsibilities, and documents client consent and key terms in one place for legal and operational review.

Why a consistent Client Onboarding ATP COS matters

Who completes and reviews the Client Onboarding ATP COS

The form is completed jointly by client-facing staff and the client; internal reviewers vary by organization and risk profile.

  • Sales and Account Managers — Enter client contact, billing preferences, and initial scope to trigger operations setup.
  • Legal and Compliance Teams — Verify contract clauses, KYC/AML checks, and required regulatory approvals.
  • Finance and Billing — Confirm tax IDs, payment terms, and invoicing contact details.

Keep the completed form in the client record and route copies to finance, legal, and the client's account owner for ongoing reference.
