What the Client Signatory Page Is and When It’s Used

A Client Signatory Page is the portion of a contract or transaction packet that collects the person or entity information and authorized signature(s) that make the document legally effective. It typically includes party names, capacity or title, signature block, signature date, and any witness or notary acknowledgements. This page can be part of an agreement, an addendum, or a cover sheet used to capture consent, acceptance, or acknowledgement from a client and to provide a clear record of who executed the document and when.

Why a Clear Client Signatory Page Matters

A concise, correctly completed Client Signatory Page reduces ambiguity about who has authority to bind a party, supports enforcement, and improves recordkeeping for audits and regulatory compliance such as ESIGN (15 U.S.C. §7001) and state UETA laws.

Why a Clear Client Signatory Page Matters

Who Typically Completes the Client Signatory Page

Organizations and individuals across legal, financial, healthcare, and real estate workflows routinely complete a Client Signatory Page to confirm execution authority and contact details.

  • Corporate signers — officers or authorized agents completing signature blocks on behalf of a legal entity.
  • Individual clients — consumers, patients, or customers signing in a personal capacity.
  • Third-party agents — attorneys, brokers, or representatives signing under power of attorney or delegated authority.

Clear role assignment and correct data entry on the signatory page reduce downstream disputes and speed processing.

Follow these steps in order to prepare and finalize the Client Signatory Page correctly.

  • 01
Prepare document: Attach the signatory page to the executed agreement or upload as the final page.
  • 02
Enter party data: Complete legal names, addresses, and titles accurately.
  • 03
Confirm authority: Verify signer authority and add a POA or corporate resolution if required.
  • 04
Sign and date: Obtain handwritten or eSignature with an MM/DD/YYYY signing date.

  • Authenticate signer: Signer authenticates via email link, SMS code, or stronger methods if required.
