What the Energy Efficiency Trust Form Is and when it’s used

The Energy Efficiency Trust Form documents the establishment, funding, or administration of a trust or program account used to support energy efficiency projects, rebates, or guaranteed savings arrangements. It typically identifies the trust name, trustee(s), beneficiaries, funding sources, permitted uses, and reporting obligations. For many program administrators and private sponsors the form also records conditions for disbursement, monitoring, and amendment. Electronic execution is generally accepted under U.S. law when ESIGN (15 U.S.C. ch. 96) and applicable state UETA rules are satisfied.

Why the Energy Efficiency Trust Form matters for projects and compliance

A clear, complete trust form creates an auditable record of funds, responsibilities, and reporting obligations, reducing disputes and streamlining oversight. Properly executed forms support regulatory compliance, financial transparency, and efficient program delivery.
