What the Event Clearance Request Form Is

The Event Clearance Request Form is an administrative application used to request official permission or coordination for public events, including permits, road closures, amplified sound, and use of public property. It gathers event details, contact information, insurance and safety plans, proposed dates and times, estimated attendance, and any requests for municipal services. Agencies use the form to evaluate impacts on traffic, public safety, utilities, and neighborhood disruption, and to schedule inspections, staffing, or fees before issuing final authorization.

Why a Proper Clearance Request Matters

A complete, accurate Event Clearance Request Form ensures agencies can assess public-safety needs, calculate fees, and coordinate services, reducing delays and unexpected denials.

  • Property Owners: Provide access permissions, liability information, and signatory authorization.
  • Permitting Agencies: Review traffic, safety, and service needs and issue conditions.
