Common errors and pitfalls to avoid when preparing forms

  • Incomplete contact information causes missed communications and can prevent ticket delivery; require phone and email to reduce failed notifications and last-minute confusion.
  • Unclear dietary entries or lack of allergy severity detail increases risk of medical incidents; include mandatory fields for severity and emergency action instructions.
  • Using inconsistent name formats between registration and payment records complicates refunds and backup withholding checks; instruct attendees to use legal names.
  • Failing to capture photographic consent separately for promotional use may restrict marketing; keep distinct checkbox and separate consent language for commercial use.

Consequences of incorrect or missing information

Missed Notices: Lost updates and refunds.
Catering Issues: Incorrect meals served.
Liability Exposure: Inadequate waivers risk claims.
Financial Reconciliation: Reconciliation delays and errors.
Regulatory Noncompliance: Privacy law violations possible.
Ticketing Errors: Duplicate or missing tickets.
