What the Golf Vehicle Rental Contract Covers

A Golf Vehicle Rental Contract is a written agreement that documents the terms under which a golf vehicle (commonly called a golf cart) is rented to a customer. It identifies the owner and renter, specifies the rental period, fees, security deposit, permitted uses, and return condition expectations. The contract allocates responsibility for damage, theft, maintenance, insurance, and liability, and can include waivers, indemnities, and equipment inspection checklists. The contract may be executed on paper or electronically in accordance with U.S. e-signature laws such as ESIGN and applicable state UETA or ESRA provisions.

Why a Clear Rental Contract Matters

A well-drafted Golf Vehicle Rental Contract reduces disputes, clarifies who pays for damage or loss, defines insurance and indemnity obligations, and documents payment and cancellation policies. Clear terms protect owners, reduce insurer disputes, and set renter expectations for safe operation and return conditions.
