What the Herbal Products Document Is and covers

The Herbal Products Document is a standardized record that describes an herbal product's identity, ingredient composition, intended uses, labeling statements, source and lot information, and responsible parties for distribution. It supports regulatory compliance, traceability, quality control and consumer transparency for products sold in interstate commerce. For manufacturers and distributors it documents testing, allergen notices, and any required disclaimers. For retailers and regulators it provides a single authoritative reference used during inspections, recalls, or adverse event investigations.

Why this document matters for compliance and safety

Accurate Herbal Products Documents reduce regulatory risk and improve traceability across the supply chain by recording composition, claims, and responsible parties.
