What the Home Organization Closet Evaluation Form Is

The Home Organization Closet Evaluation Form is a structured checklist used by professional organizers and homeowners to document a closet’s dimensions, existing storage, inventory, condition, access issues, and client goals. It standardizes measurements, photo references, priority areas, budgetary notes, and recommended interventions to produce a consistent scope of work and estimate. The form also records client preferences, any mobility or safety considerations, and signatures confirming authorization to proceed with recommended services and follow-up visits.

Why using a standardized evaluation form matters

A consistent evaluation form improves scope clarity, reduces quoting errors, documents client expectations, and creates a verifiable record for scheduling and billing.

The form is used by professionals and homeowners to align on tasks, costs, and timelines before work begins.

  • Professional organizers — Use the form on-site to capture measurements, storage needs, inventory, and photos for a quoted plan.
  • Real estate agents and stagers — Document closet condition and storage capacity to support listing descriptions and staging budgets.
  • Homeowners and tenants — Provide details about access, constraints, and stated priorities so the organizer can tailor solutions.

Completed forms are retained by the service provider and a copy is provided to the client for confirmation and future reference.
