What the HVAC Duct Work Authorization Form Is

An HVAC Duct Work Authorization Form is a written authorization that documents owner or manager approval for ductwork inspection, repair, replacement, or modification on a property. It defines scope, schedule, cost estimates, permit and inspection responsibilities, contractor licensing details, and signature authorization so work proceeds with clear consent and record of approval.

Why a Clear Authorization Matters

A formal authorization reduces disputes, ensures compliance with local permitting and building codes, and creates an auditable record of consent and financial terms. It protects property owners and contractors by clarifying responsibilities, start dates, payment terms, warranty conditions, and required inspections.

Common users include property owners, facility managers, building contractors, and HVAC service companies who need documented permission before starting ductwork.
