What the Immigration Form I-130A Is and when it’s used

Immigration Form I-130A is the USCIS Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary that accompanies a Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) when the beneficiary is the petitioner's spouse. It collects the spouse-beneficiary’s biographical details, current and prior addresses, employment history, and other identifiers that help USCIS or a U.S. consulate verify the marital relationship and eligibility for an immigrant visa.

Why accurate completion of the Immigration Form I-130A matters

Completing I-130A accurately reduces risk of delay, Requests for Evidence, or denial of the underlying I-130 petition. USCIS relies on the form for identity verification, consular processing, and to confirm that relationship evidence matches the beneficiary’s personal history.
