Referee Agreement with Women’s Soccer League Agreement made on the ____________________________ (date), between ______________________________ (Name of Referee), of ___________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________ (street address, city, county, state, zip code), hereinafter called Referee, and ____________ _____________________________ (Name of Soccer League), a nonprofit association of ____________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________ (street address, city, county, state, zip code), hereinafter called League. 1.Referee agrees to provide soccer Refereeing service to League when available at the request of the Referee Assigner employed by League .2.Referee is not an employee of League , but rather an independent contractor. As such, Referee shall be responsible for paying all income, FICA and gross receipts taxes that may accrue as a result of his/her services, and League shall have no right to control the manner in which Referee performs the Referee ing services. League shall provide no insurance coverage to Referee. Referee shall provide all his/her equipment and uniforms.3. League shall pay Referee in accordance with the Schedule of Rates attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof no later than forty-five (45) days following the submission by Referee to League of a written game report described in Paragraph 4 below. Payment shall not be contingent upon the outcome of the match or performance of Referee.5. Referee agrees to submit a written game report on a form acceptable to the League , to be received by the respective League no later than seven (7) days following each game officiated. If available, Referee may submit written game report electronically by submission to the appropriate League electronic mail address. Payment for games not reported within seven (7) days of the game shall be made only at the discretion of League.6. The existence of this Agreement does not guarantee that League will assign any matches to Referee, or assign matches of any particular type. Neither does this Agreement obligate Referee to Referee any particular number or type of match.
