What the Insurance BOP LPR Form Is and when it applies

The Insurance BOP LPR Form documents loss payee or lienholder rights for a Businessowners Policy (BOP) and records lender or lessor protections when property is insured. It identifies the party entitled to claim proceeds, specifies the priority of payment, and describes conditions under which payments are made. Insurers, lenders, and commercial tenants use the form to clarify recovery rights after loss, to attach endorsements or waivers, and to support claims processing, audits, and financing conditions for business property and equipment.

Why accurate completion matters for insurers and lenders

Completing the Insurance BOP LPR Form precisely ensures correct claim routing, protects lender security interests, and prevents payment delays or denials. Clear identification of loss payees reduces disputes, supports compliance with policy terms, and helps both carriers and creditors reconcile recoveries quickly.

Why accurate completion matters for insurers and lenders

Typical organizations and roles that complete this form

The Insurance BOP LPR Form is completed by parties who have financial interest in insured commercial property.

  • Insurance companies — Underwriting and claims teams use the form to record endorsements and confirm payee priority.
  • Lenders and lessors — Banks, equipment lessors, and commercial finance teams secure loss-payable language to protect collateral interests.
  • Policyholders and brokers — Business owners and insurance brokers provide accurate payee details to avoid claim disputes.

Accurate completion by each stakeholder reduces downstream reconciliation work and speeds claims settlement and lien release processes.
